Your new role
1. Technical Documentation & Project Submissions
- Prepare and submit technical documentation for new lift/escalator installations, including shop drawings, finishes, and work programs in line with contract requirements.
- Follow up on submissions to ensure timely approvals.
- Request manuals and related documentation as required.
2. Subcontractor & Supplier Management
- Source and appoint subcontractors and local suppliers based on contract requirements.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate terms, and raise Purchase Requisitions (PR) for both local and overseas suppliers.
3. Site Supervision & Project Execution
- Oversee the delivery and execution of installation projects, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Participate in sales-to-installation handover and validate order terms with the sales team.
- Develop installation programs and resource plans aligned with the builder's master schedule.
- Manage delivery, storage, and ordering of materials and tools ensure site readiness.
- Monitor cost control measures and collaborate with finance to align activities with contractual payment terms.
- Responsible for final testing, authority inspections, and handover to maintenance.
4. Customer & Subcontractor Relationship Management
- Ensure customer satisfaction and quality of installation.
- Monitor subcontractor performance in terms of quality and safety.
- Act as the single point of contact for customers during installation, managing all internal and external communications.
- Drive achievement of sales targets, add-on sales, and variation orders during installation.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers, subcontractors, and main contractors.
5. Additional Duties
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support project and organizational objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 5 years with a Bachelor's degree or 8 years with a Diploma in the lift/escalator industry or construction field.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of lift and escalator systems.
- Excellent communication skills able to interact across all levels.
- High integrity with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong commitment.
- Resilient under pressure and able to meet demanding deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
