Assistant Project Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team in Kuala Lumpur. The role suits someone with strong coordination, communication and project management skills who enjoys working across different business functions and international client portfolios. You will work closely with our clients from China and supervise local teams in the day-to-day management and execution of client projects. You will start in one functional department and rotate between departments and client portfolios every few months, gaining broad exposure across the business.

Work Arrangement

This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur (KL). Full relocation support provided including housing.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in managing day-to-day client projects and operations
  Supervise and coordinate local teams so projects are delivered to requirements and on schedule
• Coordinate between China-based clients and Malaysia-based teams
• Monitor project progress, deliverables, timelines and team performance
• Identify operational issues and work with the relevant teams to resolve them
• Prepare project updates, reports and performance summaries
• Support client communication, meetings and follow-ups
• Work across different departments, including Marketing, Operations and Customer Service
• Rotate between departments and client portfolios to build broader project management and operational experience

Requirements

• Mandarin-speaking ability is must have, as the role involves regular communication with Mandarin-speaking clients in China.
• Experience in project management, operations, team coordination, client management or a similar role
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Able to supervise and coordinate teams effectively
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
• Proactive, responsible and able to work independently
• Willing and able to relocate to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
