As we continue to grow and expanding to overseas markets, we are looking for a AssistantProduction Planner to join our team at the East Central Kitchen.
Position Overview:
The Assistant Production Planner is responsible for ensuring the efficient scheduling and management of production operations. You will be tasked with coordinating resources, maintaining inventory levels, and collaborating with various departments to optimize production timelines and reduce costs while ensuring product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
. Production Scheduling: Develop, plan, and manage production schedules in alignment with customer demand and inventory levels to ensure the timely delivery of products.
. Resource Management: Coordinate with the sales, procurement, quality control and production teams to align plans, ensure material availability, and resolve production issues for smooth operations.
. Inventory Control: Track raw material inventory and manage ordering processes to prevent shortages, maintain optimal stock and ensure a steady flow of production.
. Problem Solving: Identify production challenges, propose effective solutions, and work with relevant teams to address issues such as scheduling conflicts or material shortages.
. Data Analysis: Analyze production data to monitor key metrics like efficiency and utilization, generating actionable insights for process optimization.
. Collaboration: Work closely with sales, quality assurance, and production teams to communicate progress and make adjustments to schedules when necessary.
. Research & Development: Support R&D initiatives by assisting with new product testing, data collection, and process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
. Education: Diploma in Food Science, Technology, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
. Experience: Relevant experience in production planning, manufacturing, or operations management is often required.
. Technical Skills: Proficiency in production planning software such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems. Strong skills in MS Office and other relevant software are necessary for data analysis.
. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse and solve problems to improve production processes.
. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration.
. Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage priorities, multitask, and meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
This role is based at our East Central Kitchen, where you will work in an office environment with regular visits to the production floor. Regular workweek as per employment statutory, with occasional overtime during peak production periods.
