Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to the company's procurement strategy, processes, and policies for the execution of all procurement activities.
- Lead the procurement team to meet and exceed performance targets and objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and supplier selection to contract negotiation and performance management.
- Conduct regular audits of the procurement function to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions and price volatility.
- Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including quality control and finance, to ensure seamless procurement operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferred from autonomous universities.
- A minimum of 3 to 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with a proven track record of success.
- Demonstrable experience in a procurement environment where quality assessment is independent of pricing considerations.
- Strong experience in successfully navigating and managing audits of the procurement function.
