KEY JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Assistant Process Engineer to support module encapsulation, process development and laboratory operations within our R&D environment.
The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day encapsulation activities, support process improvement and troubleshooting, and ensure the laboratory is operated safely, efficiently and systematically.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The job scope includes:
- Perform and support module encapsulation and internal encapsulation process development.
- Conduct experiments, including spin coating, and analyze and organize experimental data.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and implement practical solutions.
- Coordinate daily work activities and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Manage laboratory materials, chemicals and inventory to ensure proper availability and control.
- Oversee laboratory housekeeping, safety practices and chemical waste management.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting of common laboratory equipment.
- Conduct chemical inventory checks and maintain relevant laboratory records.
- Support laboratory safety induction and training for new team members.
- Guide and coordinate junior staff or laboratory personnel where required.
- Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes, work efficiency and safety standards.
COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or a related discipline.
- Relevant working experience in process engineering, laboratory operations, materials processing, encapsulation or a related technical field is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with spin coating, encapsulation or thin-film processing will be an advantage.
- Practical knowledge of laboratory safety, chemical handling, waste management and equipment maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Good organizational and coordination skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in guiding, coordinating or supervising junior staff, technicians or laboratory personnel is an advantage.
- Proactive, responsible and hands-on with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative R&D environment.

The role will support module encapsulation, process development and laboratory operations, contributing to the development and integration of high-efficiency, large-area perovskite photovoltaic modules. The successful candidate will also play an important role in ensuring safe, efficient and well-organized laboratory operations.
Candidates with relevant industry experience, strong problem-solving skills and experience in coordinating or supervising laboratory personnel will be highly valued.
