Job Description
This position is for PaxOcean Group, a company under Kuok (Singapore) Limited.
Working Location: We will be relocating to 5 Jalan Samulun in November 2025 (nearest MRT: Boon Lay)
Position Summary
Independently Perform the mechanical design (2D & 3D) design to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within assigned schedule.
Tasks And Responsibilities
- Assist Manager in day-to-day operation and perform the assigned mechanical tasks with good quality and within schedule and study and adopt the new regulation/rule, product, standard
- Report to the project manager / section manager for mech/HVAC related Man-hour/Schedule etc.
- Lead the mech & HVAC team in the project with good quality and within schedule.
- Train & guide the mech/HVAC engineer (AE or draft man) and unite as a team.
- Prepare & Review HVAC calculation, 2D SLD/DLD, 3D models and specification and vendor's drawing
- Attend and report in project and section meeting, Support project section lead for mech/HVAC technical issue and coordinate with Shipyard /Consultant / Vendor etc.
- Perform as Project Section Lead/ Mech & HVAC Technical Lead for New building project, Repair, Upgrading, Conversion project etc.
Job Requirements
- Min. 10 years of relevant work experience in the Machinery / HVAC newbuilding design in the marine /offshore industry.
Minimum 3 years of senior engineer above experience.
- Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline
- Familiar with AutoCAD/ MS office / AVEVA
- Familiar with Class rules, Statutory requirement
- Good knowledge of machinery/ piping/HVAC design
- Good communication and analytical skills
