About the Role
Yum Cha is an established dim sum teahouse known for our award-winning dishes and strong customer base. We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager (Outlet Lead) to oversee daily Front-of-House (FOH) operations and ensure smooth, consistent service at our outlet. This role is ideal for experienced Floor Managers or Duty Managers ready to step up into a leadership position.

Job Title: Assistant Operations Manager (Outlet Lead)

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations

Lead FOH operations and supervise captains and service crew

Manage table flow, seating arrangements, and peak-hour service
Ensure service quality, customer satisfaction, and timely dish delivery
Handle escalated customer feedback and perform service recovery
Conduct daily floor checks to ensure outlet readiness and hygiene standards

Manpower & Training

Plan staff scheduling and manpower deployment

Train new hires on service SOPs, customer service, and operational standards
Provide performance feedback and support staff development

Inventory & Compliance

Monitor FOH inventory and manage replenishments

Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and operational SOPs
Support stock-taking and cost-control initiatives

Outlet Leadership

Act as outlet-in-charge in the absence of senior management

Prepare daily operational reports and highlight issues to Operations Manager
Support implementation of promotions, workflow improvements, and service initiatives

Requirements

Minimum 4-5 years of FOH experience in F&B

Prior experience as Floor Manager, Duty Manager, or supervisory role
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking customers, staff, and suppliers for work purposes
Ability to manage fast-paced operations and resolve issues independently
Good understanding of restaurant service standards and hygiene requirements
Positive attitude, team player, and strong sense of responsibility
