NLCS (Singapore) is seeking a Assistant Operations Manager reporting to the Assistant Facilities Manager and will be responsible for assisting the department head to ensure smooth school operations and its efficient use of resources. The successful candidate will have an international outlook and an appreciation for the impact the operations department can have on the school. This person will be quick to learn about the organization and begin to interact with various stakeholders to perform the role immediately. A service-oriented mindset is imperative for this role.

Main Responsibilities: Operations

  1. Provide day-to-day supervision for the provision, operation and monitoring of support services provided by the school including catering, transport and security.
  2. Work with all subcontractors within the school including assisting in preparation of tenders, maintenance of contracts.
  3. Lead the team by example.
  4. Supervise and manage the outsourced servicing teams for catering and transport, for effective school operations.
  5. Support logistical coordination and support for events, which may be out of school hours.
  6. Assist the security and facilities teams to ensure the school remains safe and in ideal working order.
  7. Work closely with the Facilities team to supervise third party vendors onsite ensuring that the work is completed, service reports checked.
  8. Assist the department regarding any energy efficiency initiatives.
  9. Manage the set up and coordination between the various stakeholders in the school to ensure that all events are set up and deliver our premium standards.
  10. Work with the school procurement Coordinator by assisting in raising purchase requisitions, purchase orders, forwarding to vendors and following up on deliveries.
  11. To work with the procurement coordinator to receive all annual and local deliveries and ensure that they match the issued purchase order.

Health and Safety

  1. Champion the department and ensuring Health and Safety protocols across the departments are adhered to.
  2. Support compliance with relevant legislation and actively participate in the school's Health and Safety committee.
  3. Be a part of the Emergency response team for the school and assist to coordinate fire and emergency drills.

Regulatory

  1. Assist the department in gaining compliance with local legislation.
  2. Handle operational issues in an effective, prompt and professional manner.

Safeguarding

  1. Abide by the school safeguarding policy and keep abreast of any changes
