Assistant Nurse Clinician

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams to assess and implement patient care based on individual needs. Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring timely and appropriate discharge planning. Monitor patients for changes in condition, recognizing early signs of clinical deterioration and escalating as necessary. Participate actively in multidisciplinary rounds, executing treatment and investigation orders promptly. Assist physicians with bedside procedures and treatments while communicating patient progress effectively. Engage in problem-solving within the nursing team regarding clinical or operational issues, seeking guidance as necessary. Educate patients and families on disease management, assessing their understanding to foster self-care. Support department supervisors in resource management to maintain budgetary compliance. Review infection control practices and identify opportunities for improvement. Plan and lead training sessions for nursing staff and students to enhance skills and maintain high-quality care. Supervise the use of medical equipment, electronic medical records, and clinical workflows, co-leading in emergency situations.

Requirements

• Advanced Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Valid practicing license with the Singapore Nursing Board. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Senior Staff Nurse I in a clinical environment. Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities. Comprehensive understanding of clinical workflows in Community Hospitals and Long-Term Care settings.
