Duties:
- Support the Nurse Manager in overseeing daily ward/clinic operations and ensuring smooth workflow.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor staff nurses, enrolled nurses, and nursing assistants to maintain quality patient care.
- Assist in staff scheduling, duty roster planning, manpower allocation, and leave management.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
- Coordinate patient care activities and collaborate with doctors and multidisciplinary teams for effective care delivery.
- Monitor patient outcomes, review nursing care plans, and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Handle escalation of complex clinical cases and support staff in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Conduct audits, incident reporting, and support investigations for clinical errors or complaints.
- Assist in training, onboarding, competency assessments, and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and implement changes to improve service standards.
- Manage ward/clinic resources including medical supplies, equipment, and inventory control.
- Provide direct patient care when required, especially during manpower shortages or high-acuity situations.
