Join the Centre for Teaching and Learning Development (CTLD) at Nanyang Polytechnic, where we are committed to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning through evidence-informed practices. As an Assistant Manager in Learning Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in transforming institutional data into meaningful insights that support academic quality, flipped learning initiatives, and strategic decision-making across the polytechnic.
[What you will be working on]
- Learning Analytics & Insights - Design and maintain dashboards and data visualisations that surface actionable insights to support teaching, learning, and academic quality across the institution.
- Educational Data Analysis - Analyse data from the LMS, EdTech tools, and surveys to provide insights on staff and learner engagement, with a focus on supporting flipped learning and asynchronous online learning initiatives.
- Data Integration & Preparation - Work with NYP's data infrastructure, including our institution's data lake, to extract, integrate, and prepare datasets from multiple institutional sources for analytics and reporting purposes.
- Institutional Reporting - Coordinate data collection across schools, and clean, validate, and consolidate submissions to support internal stakeholder needs and MOE reporting requirements.
- Data Automation & Workflow Development - Develop automated workflows and applications to streamline departmental data processes, improving the efficiency and accuracy of data collection, tracking, and reporting.
[What we are looking for]
- Relevant qualification in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field. Candidates with relevant qualification in Education Technology or a related discipline, combined with strong data skills, will also be considered.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field
- Proficient in SQL and/or Python for data extraction and analysis
- Experienced in dashboard development using data visualisation tools, preferably Power BI
- Familiar with institutional data platforms such as Databricks, or equivalent enterprise environments
- Experienced in developing automation workflows using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate
- Strong skills in data cleaning, transformation, and consolidation
- Able to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Collaborative, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
