Position
As the Assistant Merchandising Manager, you will drive the business across the product categories of Women Leather Goods, aiming to achieve sales and sell-through targets while ensuring adherence to the strategy for the South Asia region.
Job responsibilities
Buying
- Develop merchandising strategies for the zone
- Define product assortment for Women Small and Exotics leather goods
- Review seasonal open-to-buy together with Business Planning Team
- Attend seasonal buying sessions in Paris to ensure best merchandise is purchased at appropriate quantities to achieve targeted sales projections and sell-through
Merchandising
- For assigned product categories in South Asia:
- Drive business with specific actions plans in order to reach company sales & sell-through objectives
- Be the specialist on sales performance, market analysis & competitive intelligence
- Act as communications lead between HQ Business Units, regional functions and local teams
- Monitor inventory level and liaise with Supply Chain on optimisation of stock
- Support local merchandisers with regards to execution of company's product strategies on a tactical level: provide guidance on understanding the business, store specificities and stock optimisation
- Collaborate with Regional Training on product and sales knowledge, shaping programmes and contents that delivers on learning outcomes
- Collaborate with Regional VM on collection/ product launches and boutique remerchandising
- Define local pricing in line with HQ's and zone strategies
- Define the distribution network of Permanent and Carry over products
- Management of the zone's trunk samples
- Collaborate with Women's merchandising team on transversal tasks
- Conduct store visits to understand product feedback on the floor
Special Projects
- Project lead for Couture Maroquinerie and Dior Lady Art:
- Collaborate with Client Marketing Teams on the formulation and execution of High End Events.
- Act as product liaison between HQ Business Unit, cross-functional regional and local teams. Consolidation and transmission of information for key stakeholders to deliver expected sales
- Define assortment, sales targets and follow up with deliveries
- Provide local stakeholders with available lead times on product fulfilment
- Post event reporting collaborating with local merchandisers
Profile
Work Experience
- Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in merchandising with luxury good and service-related industry is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in both regional and local merchandising functions.
Skills
- General computer literacy and strong in Microsoft Excel
- Presentation and communication ability
- Language skills: English, other language ability is an added advantage
