Responsibilities
. Perform maintenance, repairs, planned maintenance and supervision jobs on board Penguin's fleet.
. Manage all technical matters and ensure that safety is regarded as a primary responsibility.
. Plan, coordinate and execute inspections, dry dockings, lay-up of vessels.
. Follow up closely on performance of all vessels, monitor major deficiencies/defects that exist in the vessels and ensure that timely corrective actions are taken in order that the vessels performance and safety is not jeopardized.
. To ensure that all technical reports as required by various principals are timely dispatched.
. To verify all incoming reports from the vessels and identify areas which require immediate attention and take corrective actions.
. To report system non-conformities and verify that correction and preventive actions are implemented and found effective.
. High vessel availability and reliability
. Ensure full compliance with safety and environmental standards
. To optimize lifecycle costs for aluminium hulls and electric propulsion, and
. Make continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and sustainability
Requirements and skills
. Candidates should possess a tertiary education, with three to five years experience in a similar capacity in the marine industry.
. A can-do pro-active attitude and a team player.
