Job Description
An exciting opportunity for a Tax Assistant Manager to oversee tax matters across the Americas region, with primary focus on the United States, Mexico and Brazil. This role offers a unique blend of tax compliance, advisory and business partnering responsibilities, working closely with regional stakeholders and external tax advisors to support a growing international business.

Description
Reporting to the Tax Director, you will:
Manage corporate tax compliance activities across the United States, Mexico and Brazil, ensuring timely and accurate filing obligations are met.
Coordinate closely with external tax agents and advisors on federal, state and local tax matters across the Americas region.
Review tax returns, tax provisions and supporting schedules prepared by external service providers.
Provide tax advisory support on commercial transactions, intercompany arrangements, business initiatives and cross-border activities.
Support tax audits, investigations and enquiries raised by tax authorities, working with local advisors to manage risk and resolution.
Assist with transfer pricing matters, withholding taxes, tax treaty considerations and cross-border cash flows.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact of new developments on business operations.
Partner with Finance, Legal, Treasury and commercial stakeholders to ensure tax considerations are incorporated into business decisions.
Profile
Degree in Accountancy, Taxation, Finance or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of tax experience gained within Big 4, tax advisory firms and multinational corporations.
Experience managing regional/US tax matters, including exposure to federal and state tax requirements, is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of corporate income tax, tax compliance processes and cross-border transactions.
Comfortable working with external advisors and coordinating tax matters across multiple jurisdictions.
Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset.
