RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Strategic Communications to ideate and execute internal and external communication strategies. This role is responsible for crafting compelling communication narratives, supporting media engagement/relations, and contributing to impactful communication strategies that will help advance the mission of building Singapore into a giving nation.
- Develop creative and impactful angles and opportunities to articulate NVPC's vision, mission, values, purpose and impact across a wide range of stakeholders
- Engage different teams and collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to develop press materials, speeches, and other communication assets
- Pitch and position NVPC's announcement, research, programmes and initiatives accurately and strategically, ensuring integration, consistency and alignment in brand and messaging
- Manage internal and external stakeholders on timelines, input, expectations and approvals around PR and communications deliverables
- Contribute to the success of media events and media relations efforts by building media targets, drafting pitches, coordinating interviews and running briefing sessions.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns and initiatives, providing regular reports and insights for continuous improvement.
- Conduct research on the latest media trends and spot opportunities for NVPC to insert a point of view
- Draft and edit internal communication materials such as posters and EDMs to effectively engage NVPC employees.
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks associated with communications projects and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS- Degree or Diploma in PR, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related
- 5-7 years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, or a related role. Experience in the public sector or experience liaising with government agencies is a plus.
- Understands how to work well with key journalists, senior spokespersons and different types of stakeholders in the public service, corporate, non-profit sector
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages.
- Strong research and analytical skills to gather and interpret data for strategic insights.
- Bilingual business competency in any of these languages: English, Chinese, Malay or Tamil
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
