In This Role, You Will
Leverage your deep sales experience and regional relationships to grow the business of circular knitting machines for Unitex. You will learn and own the full sales cyclefrom market development, channel/agent management, negotiation, to closing major capital equipment dealsand serve as the face of the company in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plans: identify growth pockets, demand trends, key customers (mills, textile manufacturers), and route to market.
- Manage and nurture key distribution partners/agents, oversee customer relationships, ensure the channel is enabled and performing.
- Present and position our circular knitting machine portfolio (including latest technology) against competitors in the region.
- Lead negotiations (commercial, technical, service/spare parts) with major customers, ensuring profitable contracts that reflect our value proposition.
- Drive forecasting, pipeline management, sales reporting, and regular region-market reviews.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions and customer visits; deliver product demonstrations, technical briefings and competitor/market insights.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, service, spare-parts & logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of orders, commissioning and after-sales support.
- Gather market intelligence: monitor competitor activity, emerging technologies, customer investment trends, government/regulatory policies, and feed this into regional strategy.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years (preferably more) of capital-equipment sales experience; ideally in textile machinery or industrial/engineering equipment.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets, ideally in emerging textile markets.
- Good technical knowledge (or strong willingness to learn) of circular knitting machines, their application in textile manufacturing, and ability to articulate ROI and differentiate our machines from competitors.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills, comfortable dealing with senior management of textile mills, brand owners and channel partners.
- Strong resourcefulness, customerservice mindset, crosscultural communication skills, ability to adapt to diverse markets.
- Experience managing agents/distributors in a region, channel-development mindset.
- Comfortable travelling frequently (50%+).
- Strong organisational skills: able to manage long-sales-cycles, multiple stakeholders, and handle after-sales/stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in English; additional regional language beneficial but not essential.
