organization. As Assistant Manager, Transhipment you will join a dynamic team to handle all
Transhipment containers (laden+ empty) in Singapore. You will also have the opportunity to work and

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Transhipment, the role supports and deputizes for the Head of
Department, manages space control and allocation for MSC and Partners mainline and feeder services
per Principal guidelines, and supervises and develops the Senior Transhipment Executive and Export
team.
Your key responsibilities include:
• Liaising with Partner Lines in resolving day-to-day issues;
• Involved in matters relating to Transhipment IT systems (user end) / procedures and looking into
any upgrading whenever necessary;
• Authorize payment of PSA, 3rd party Feeders and Contractors bills pertaining to Transhipment
operations;
• Monitor and supervise the import status declarations made by our S.E.A out ports directly into the
PSA system for MSC Feeders;
• Ensure timely receipt of manifest from Inward Documentation Departments / Load Port for all
vessel discharging in Singapore;
• Check and obtain space approval from Regional Office for all MSC owned connecting carriers;
• Arrangement of 3rd party feeder space for destinations not served by MSC vessels or when own
vessel's space is full;
• Ensure all Transhipment containers discharging from 1st carriers are declared correctly in the
Portnet system and loaded on correct connecting carriers;
• Preparation of Daily Transhipment Advise report to Regional Office and S.E.A offices, providing
latest comprehensive updates of all Transhipment containers lying in PSA for their reference and
planning purposes;
• Apply to PSA for tight connections and monitor closely to ensure operations being carried out;
• Attend to global agents enquiries;
• Establish departmental goals and objectives aligned with company and regional Transhipment
strategy, ensuring clear communication and execution by the team;
• Monitor, manage and review departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), implementing
corrective actions to ensure operational targets and service levels are achieved;
• Lead staff onboarding, training and development initiatives to ensure new employees are
effectively integrated and equipped with the necessary operational knowledge and system
competencies;
• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching and succession planning to support employee
development and departmental continuity;
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, company policies, operational procedures and internal
control requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department;
• Monitor adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate periodic process
reviews and audits to maintain operational excellence and regulatory compliance;
• Identify operational risks, implement mitigation measures, and ensure timely resolution of audit
findings, non-conformities and corrective actions;
• Promote a culture of accountability, operational discipline and continuous improvement across
the Transhipment team.
Who We Are Looking For
• Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant industry experience including 3 years of supervisory or
managerial capacity.
• Candidates with a Degree in Maritime Studies or a related discipline will have an added advantage.
