Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering activities for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of naval vessels, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Plan and implement maintenance schedules to maximize vessel availability, performance, and lifecycle.
- Supervise and mentor engineers and technicians, driving professional development, safety awareness, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and project managers to align maintenance activities with overall project goals.
- Monitor progress, track performance metrics, and identify risks related to mechanical systems.
- Engage with suppliers and contractors to procure quality materials, equipment, and services that meet company standards.
- Recommend and implement process improvements and best practices in mechanical maintenance and resource management.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in mechanical maintenance or engineering within the naval or maritime industry is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of vessel mechanical systems, including propulsion, hydraulics, and auxiliary machinery.
