Job Description
Responsibilities
- Ensure profitability of Marine classes of insurance in line with company's business plan and MTP.
- Ensure sound underwriting decisions through proper risk assessment process.
- Establish, develop and maintain core business partnership with intermediaries, clients, reinsurers and other business partners to secure business opportunities to ensure long term superior underwriting results.
- Excellent customer service is extended to internal and external customers and within the set service standards at all times.
- Generate useful market intelligence through close monitoring of market trends and identifying potential areas to grow.
- Ensure compliance with code of conduct and TM UW guidelines.
- Degree in Business Administrative, Economics or Insurance related such as AMII, ACII, AII ANZIIF and DMII.
- Minimum 5 years experience in marine underwriting.
- Good communications skills - written & oral
- Good analytical and problem solvingskill.
- Solid knowledge in underwriting of Marine risk assessment.
- Good market knowledge in Marine products.
