Assistant Manager, Manufacturing | Food Production

Excellent opportunity for an experienced food manufacturing professional to take ownership of production operations, manpower, equipment reliability and plant improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

. Lead daily production operations and ensure production plans are achieved according to customer requirements
. Drive production efficiency across output, speed, downtime and wastage
. Ensure finished products meet required quality and food safety standards
. Lead, supervise and motivate the Production team
. Optimise manpower deployment and identify training and development needs
. Ensure production processes comply with statutory, customer, corporate, ISO and internal requirements
. Lead the design, installation and qualification of new or modified production equipment and process lines
. Establish and maintain equipment maintenance programmes
. Manage preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime
. Review production and maintenance risk management including ERM, BCP and workplace safety
. Lead cross-functional plant improvement projects covering cost savings, energy savings and productivity improvements
. Support production trials and new product launches
. Drive continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
