[What the role is]
The Media Capability Development Division conceptualises and implements strategies that ensures Singapore's Media Industry remain competitive, able to respond to evolving global media landscape, produce content that meets audience preferences and grow in commercial viability and profitability. This can be achieved by uplifting the competencies of key production roles such as Creative Producers, Directors, and Scriptwriters, and through adoption of emerging technologies, such as Virtual Production and Generative AI. This role will support IMDA's mission as the Architect of Singapore's Digital Future.
[What you will be working on]
Key Responsibilities For AM/M (New Capabilities)
Design and deliver talent development programmes to uplift the capability of local Creative Producers, Directors and Scriptwriters to produce commercially successful made-with-Singapore content. Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct desktop and market research, engage industry stakeholders to gather relevant insights on trends and key capabilities central to the creative and commercial aspects of media projects.
- Identify core skills and develop programmes to deepen storytelling skills.
- Design potential strategies to upskill local media companies and talent with capabilities to remain relevant and competitive, such as use of virtual production technologies.
- Prepare assessment, make recommendations and present programme proposals to senior management to seek approval for programme funding and projects.
- Monitor project progress to ensure programme/project deliverables are met and issues are managed in a timely manner.
- Collate data, review learnings and refine programme design (hypothesis and approach) to achieve the best commercial outcomes for our IPs.
[What we are looking for]
Requirements
- 2 to 6 years of relevant working experience in project management roles, preferably in the media sector.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Gen AI and other tech areas relevant to media and interest in technology, coding, prompt engineering, will be an advantage.
- Well-versed in managing stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Agile team player who can work with ambiguity, loosely defined problem spaces to propose and implement solutions within narrow timeframes.
- Effective communication skills (writing and presentation) including ability to explain complex concepts.
- Degree qualification preferably in Media, Arts and Communications, Business or Engineering.
