Assistant Manager/Manager - Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate site problem-solving skills and coordinate effectively with clients. Apply engineering knowledge, particularly in design and compliance with relevant building service codes. Ensure quality of materials and installations from suppliers and subcontractors according to ISO quality standards. Coordinate and monitor the quality of suppliers materials and subcontractor installations. Produce and manage shop drawings and related coordination documentation. Develop work schedules and participate in both client and internal meetings. Assist in overseeing day-to-day operations aligned with master planning schedules, quality, and safety requirements. Facilitate coordination with main contractors to mitigate the risk of rework. Manage site materials and equipment to minimize wastage. Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to prevent delivery delays and ensure progress. Inspect for nonconformities to avert defects in products or installations. Investigate new technologies and installation methods to enhance productivity. Monitor on-site progress and maintain clear communication with subcontractors and suppliers. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 3 to 5 years of relevant managerial experience in an M&E subcontractor environment, with a total of 8+ years of experience in the M&E engineering field. Knowledge of ISO 9000 and OHSAS 18000 standards. Certification as an ISO Internal Quality Auditor. Completion of the Building Construction Safety Supervisor Course.
