For over 35 years, we have been a leading industrial producer of L-Menthol, using our core technology, asymmetric synthesis.

This technology enables us to produce unique, novel, and nature-identical aroma ingredients, and in addition, to manufacture pharmaceutical intermediates, functional materials, and other fine chemicals.

Takasago Group maintains offices, production sites, and R&D centers in twenty-seven countries and regions.

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Marketing Manager to join our Regional Marketing Fragrance Division — someone who is passionate about fragrances and thrives on identifying opportunities, shaping them into compelling concepts, and driving impactful market strategies. This role is ideal for a creative yet analytical professional who can balance innovation with execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity Translation: Spot emerging trends and consumer needs, and transform them into marketable concepts that resonate with target audiences.
  • Sales Partnership: Support the sales function to achieve ambitious growth and revenue targets through strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Creative Fragrance Development, Perfumery, R&D, Consumer Insights and Market Research to bring projects to life.
  • Innovation Leadership: Proactively respond to market shifts with fresh, out-of-the-box ideas that meet client objectives and elevate brand positioning.
  • Regional Market Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of consumer psyche, retail climate, product development, market potential, and competitive landscape across diverse regional markets.
  • Global Communication: Ensure seamless communication with regional Southeast Asia affiliates and global counterparts to align strategies and share best practices.
  • AI Integration: Apply AI tools and applications to enhance consumer insights, optimize campaigns, and accelerate innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of fragrance and cosmetic ingredient
  • Preferably with 5 - 10 years marketing experience in Fragrance, FMCG and Cosmetic or related industries.
  • Creative, highly motivated and dynamic individual. Strong analytical and creative thinking skills — able to turn insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both regional and global. Good communication and presentation skill to deliver a strong compelling concept/ idea to our clients
  • Good initiative and interpersonal skills. Passion for innovation and responsiveness to evolving market needs.
  • Able to work independently and able to travel
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and other product design software
  • Proven ability to collaborate across diverse functions and cultures.
  • Familiarity with AI applications in marketing and product development.
