We are seeking an experienced insurance professional to develop and manage a portfolio of exempt GI brokers, driving growth across personal, SME, and commercial insurance portfolios.
The role focuses on exempt GI broker activation, scheme development, and digital distribution, in closecollaboration with underwriting, distribution, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with exempt GI brokers
- Activate inactive or low-producing exempt GI brokers and grow profitable personal and commercial lines portfolios
- Develop and manage insurance schemes and digital distribution platforms
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and capability building of new exempt GI brokers
- Deliver training and guidance on products, underwriting, and submissions
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver competitive underwriting and service outcomes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
Requirements
- 6 - 10 years of relevant experience in general insurance, preferably in commercial underwriting, exempt GI broker distribution, or portfolio management
- Diploma or Degree with a minimum insurance-related qualification (e.g., Certificate in General Insurance)
- Proven track record in managing broker relationships, driving portfolio growth, and developing insurance schemes
- Strong understanding of the Singapore GI market, exempt GI broker framework, and Insurance Act
- Sound knowledge of commercial GI products and risk assessment
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and commercial mindset
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and proactive
