Job Description

A key member of the NUS College's Communications team (Outreach Pillar), this role is responsible for curating, creating, integrating and marketing content across key NUS College platforms, from internal communications to external marketing outreach initiatives. You will play a key role in elevating the NUS College brand, increasing its visibility and enhancing its reputation through compelling NUSC storytelling and narratives that resonate with our key audiences, driving meaningful interactions and fostering deeper connections.

Duties and Responsbilities

Content Creation & Curation

 Develop, create, schedule/publish compelling on-brand content across NUSC social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter).

 Develop, edit and proofread NUSC newsletters, including articles, features and other updates.

 Support the writing and editing of NUSC website copy, blog posts, articles and other communications materials.

 Support the maintenance of the company website and ensure its content is up-to-date and optimised for search engines.

 Curate and manage engaging content and profile banks, including text, images, videos, and interactive elements, across NUSC teams.

Channel Monitoring & Management

 Manage, monitor and analyse social media performance, track key metrics and generate reports.

 Engage with followers on social media platforms, respond to comments and messages and build a strong online community.

 Plan and execute social media campaigns, including paid advertising and influencer marketing.

 Manage and update the newsletter mailing list and subscriber database with support from relevant teams.

 Manage and maintain NUSC mailbox as a key channel for queries and routing to relevant teams for respective follow-through.

 Stay abreast of the latest digital marketing trends, technologies and best practices.

 Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for content calibration.

Training & Support

 Manage and guide a team of student editorial team members, photographers and videographers to cover NUSC events and initiatives.

 Train internal teams on content creation, social media best practices and brand guidelines.

 Provide support for internal and external events, including logistics, content creation and social media/newsletter/web coverage.

 Provide support for creation, writing and development of comms and marketing collaterals.

 Assist with operational and administrative tasks and other comms work as needed.

Qualifications

 A good degree in Communications, Marketing Journalism or a related field.

 Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in social media marketing, content creation or a related field.

 Proven experience in managing social media accounts and executing successful campaigns.

 Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills (including working knowledge of Simplified Chinese).

 Experience with website content management systems (CMS) and social media scheduling and reporting tools.

 Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro).

 Familiar with photography and videography – including photo and video editing skills.

 Motivated, resourceful, detailed and organised with good time and project management.

 Able to work in a fast-paced environment and/or under timeline pressure

 Able to work independently and a good team player.

 Enjoys working with people and covering events with previous experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

 Curiosity of mind and passion to build a career in the education industry.
