This incumbent will lead the growth of the high-quality content production function. In this role, you will drive the customer adoption of Sony's unique and advanced hardware, solutions, and workflows. Responsibilities include delivering technical education, leading joint Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) with clients and sharing valuable market insights with our head office business divisions. This position supports product marketing for professional video devices.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Customer Education and Technical Enablement: Support the adoption of Sony's unique hardware, solutions, and workflows used in high-quality content production, including high-end cinema cameras, virtual production, VR, and 3D content creation and broadcast production. You will also deliver technical training to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Leading Joint PoCs with Customers: Manage joint proof-of-concept (PoC) activities and product demonstrations with customers to validate the value and effectiveness of our technologies.
- Sharing Market Feedback: Collect and analyze feedback and market demand from customers in the Asia region, and share key insights with head office business divisions, product planning, and design teams. Your contributions will help develop products and solutions specifically tailored for the Asian market.
- Technical Introduction and Support: Provide technical introductions and support to sales and marketing departments when they sell target products and solutions. This includes conducting demonstrations and creating system proposals.
- Building Relationships with Industry Key Players: Identify and build strong relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers relevant to our target products and solutions. Track progress and report outcomes to internal stakeholders.
What you should have:
- Deep Expertise in the Content Creation Industry: Possess at least 7 years of technical expertise and hands-on experience in high-quality content creation, including high-end cinema cameras, virtual production, VR, 3D content creation, and broadcast production. Candidates should also demonstrate a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
- Experience in Technical Introduction and Customer Support: Possess at least 6 years of relevant experience in providing technical support to customers in the adoption of complex hardware, solutions, and workflows. A proven track record of addressing customer challenges through technical demonstrations and system proposals is essential.
- Joint PoC Leadership Experience: Experience planning, executing, and successfully leading joint Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) with customers.
- Excellent Communication and Feedback Skills: High communication skills to accurately gather technical opinions and demands from customers in the Asia region, and to provide clear and constructive feedback to the head office's product planning and design departments.
- Understanding of the ASEAN Market: An understanding of the characteristics of the content creation market, customer needs, and business customs in the ASEAN region.
- Relationship Building Skills: Ability to identify industry key players and adoption decision-makers, and to build long-term, trusting relationships.
- Communication Skills: Business-level English proficiency necessary for smooth communication with the Japan head office (planning and design team) and overseas customers/partners.
- Product Marketing Ability: The person in this position should have the ability in product marketing and demand creation, such as: New product introduction to the market, Utilization of key influencers for the new product, social network content planning
