We are looking for an Assistant Manager (Accounts) who will be responsible for handling the day-to-day accounting and finance operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, support internal controls, and assist in audit, tax, and compliance activities. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently and to collaborate with other teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL, Bank reconciliations, Month-end closing).
- Manage end-to-end accounts receivable processes including invoicing, receipts posting, sending monthly statement of accounts and monitoring aging reports to ensure timely collections.
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring proper invoice verification, approvals and timely payments to vendors.
- Manage daily bank balances and reconcile multi-currency bank accounts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate cash position.
- Manage petty cash transactions and perform monthly reconciliation.
- Process sales commission, dealer incentive claim and employees expenses reimbursement in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST filing and coordinate with tax agent on corporate tax matters (eg. ECI filing)
- Perform inventory cost adjustments and support year-end stock take exercises, including reconciliation and variance analysis
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journals for accruals, prepayment, provisions and fixed asset schedules.
- Ensure compliances with accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Excellent attention to details with analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.
- Professional certification (ACCA/CA/CPA) or in progress is highly preferred.
