Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Manager (Accounts) who will be responsible for handling the day-to-day accounting and finance operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, support internal controls, and assist in audit, tax, and compliance activities. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently and to collaborate with other teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL, Bank reconciliations, Month-end closing).
  • Manage end-to-end accounts receivable processes including invoicing, receipts posting, sending monthly statement of accounts and monitoring aging reports to ensure timely collections.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring proper invoice verification, approvals and timely payments to vendors.
  • Manage daily bank balances and reconcile multi-currency bank accounts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate cash position.
  • Manage petty cash transactions and perform monthly reconciliation.
  • Process sales commission, dealer incentive claim and employees expenses reimbursement in accordance with company policies.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly GST filing and coordinate with tax agent on corporate tax matters (eg. ECI filing)
  • Perform inventory cost adjustments and support year-end stock take exercises, including reconciliation and variance analysis
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journals for accruals, prepayment, provisions and fixed asset schedules.
  • Ensure compliances with accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to details with analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.
  • Professional certification (ACCA/CA/CPA) or in progress is highly preferred.
