Assistant Manager, HR Group Shared Services - Payments & Claims Team
Role Summary
We are looking for a driven and dependable Assistant Manager to lead and supervise a team of HR Payment (non-payroll) and Medical Benefits Claims Specialists within NUHS HR Group Shared Services (GSS).
This is a key operational leadership role, reporting to the Team Manager, and will serve as the right hand in managing high-volume transactions, improving workflows, supporting team development, and driving system enhancements across the NUHS cluster.

Key Responsibilities
Team Operations & Service Delivery
Lead the day-to-day HR GSS operations, including employee medical benefits claims and HR-related payment transactions.
Ensure accurate and timely processing in compliance with policy, audit, and statutory requirements.
Monitor service delivery against SLAs across NUHS institutions.
Process & Systems Improvement
Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and system pain points recommend practical improvements.
Support or lead enhancement projects including automation (e.g., RPA) and HR system upgrades (myHR, SuccessFactors).
Team Support & People Development
Coach and guide team members to build operational strength, accountability, and collaboration.
Drive knowledge-sharing, SOP alignment, and continuous learning within the team.
Foster a positive, high-performance culture aligned with NUHS values.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of relevant HR operations experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Strong working knowledge of HR systems (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with RPA or workflow automation is a strong advantage.
Ability to manage operations in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, motivate and influence others.
Self-driven, dependable, and able to work independently while leading and supporting team goals.
