Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Accounts whose core strength is Group Financial Reporting and Multi-Entity Consolidation. This is the primary skill required for the role: the successful candidate will own the consolidation of financial data across multiple group entities/jurisdictions into accurate, timely group management accounts and statutory financial statements. Beyond reporting, the role also covers statutory compliance, and process automation, but strong technical grounding in group consolidation and knowledge in SFRS is the non-negotiable requirement. This role suits a proactive individual comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy while coordinating with local entity accountants across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Group Financial Reporting & Multi-Entity Consolidation (Core Skill)
  • Lead the end-to-end group consolidation process, combining financial data from multiple entities/jurisdictions into a single, accurate set of group management accounts and financial statements.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in full compliance with SFRS (Singapore Financial Reporting Standards), including consolidation adjustments, elimination entries, and minority interest calculations where applicable.
  • Review, challenge, and validate financial submissions from local entity accountants to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of group-level data.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and eliminations across the group, resolving discrepancies between entities.
  • Conduct variance analysis on consolidated results and provide commentary on group performance to senior management.
  • Own the group reporting calendar and timetable, ensuring all entities submit financials in time for consolidated close.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and budget/forecast consolidation at the group level.

Statutory Compliance & Tax

  • Own the statutory compliance calendar, ensuring 100% on-time filings for GST/VAT, Corporate

Income Tax, and other jurisdictional obligations.

  • Coordinate international tax matters, including cross-border VAT, transfer pricing documentation, and liaison with external tax advisors.
  • Ensure timely ACRA annual return submissions and liaise with corporate secretarial agents.
  • Maintain accurate records to support external audits and resolve technical audit queries.

Process Automation & Business Partnering

  • Leverage Power Query, Power Pivot, Excel automation, and AI tools (e.g., Claude AI) to streamline consolidation workflows and shorten close cycles.
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to the CFO, CEO, and department/country heads, providing analysis to support decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen financial controls and reporting efficiency.

Requirements: Essential (Core Skill)

  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience in Group Financial Reporting and Multi-Entity Consolidation is mandatory - candidates without this experience will not be considered.
  • Proven track record preparing consolidated financial statements and management accounts for a group with multiple entities/subsidiaries, ideally across more than one jurisdiction.
  • Strong technical knowledge of consolidation mechanics: intercompany eliminations, currency translation, and consolidation adjustments under SFRS.

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
  • Working knowledge of GST/VAT and corporate tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency in SAP systems advanced Excel skills (Power Query/Power Pivot) preferred.
  • Experience with AI-assisted or automated finance workflows is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-border teams.
  • Strong attention to detail with a track record of maintaining high compliance standards.
