Assistant Manager (Global Partnership / International Relations)
What You Will Be Working On
International Partnerships
- Plan, develop and implement Temasek Polytechnic's (TP) internationalisation strategies, projects, programmes and visits
- Work with partners in targeted country engagements to secure collaborative projects and overseas opportunities for staff and students.
- Engage international and regional organisations such as UNESCO-UNEVOC, UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning, Passage to ASEAN, United Cities & Local Governments Asia Pacific to create overseas opportunities for students and staff.
- Support TP's engagements, partnerships, and communications with Chinese institutions and stakeholders, leverage cultural understanding and experience to enhance collaboration.
- Organise international conference, symposium and programmes to strengthen TP's global positioning and partnerships.
- Manage collaborative projects and programmes between TP's schools/departments and overseas partner institutions.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with reputable foreign universities and institutions to broaden TP's global network.
International Relations (IR) Advisory & Staffing
- Oversee and manage the development, review and administration of Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) and partnership agreements.
- Coordinate and host international visits, ensuring alignment with TP's strategic objectives and stakeholder engagement priorities.
- Support and plan overseas trip by senior management, including programme development, partner liaison, and logistical coordination.
- Maintain and update the IR engagements database for TP, schools and centres, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of collaborations, visits and international activities.
IR Policy Advisory and Administrative Roles
- Conduct research and review engagement strategies to strengthen TP's international partnerships.
- Attend to requests from government agencies, including the Ministry of Education (MOE) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and provide timely information and reporting on IR matters.
- Promote and support the Overseas Student Internship Programme (OSIP), working closely with schools to facilitate placements and address administrative requirements.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 5 years of work experience in international relations, overseas project, event management or in a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative team player who can work under pressure and meet tight timelines.
- Able to travel overseas for business engagements and student-related trips.
- Knowledge of ASEAN members countries and other key regions such as China and India.
- Able to manage local and overseas stakeholders and partners, with focus on overseas Institutes of Higher Learning.
- Demonstrates key principles of International Relations as well as strong protocol skills when visiting or hosting overseas partners.
- Competent in the use of technology for problem-solving, data analytics and presentation.
