Job Summary
We seek a dynamic Assistant Manager to lead financial operations at our shipyard(working location River Valley), driving compliance, risk management, and process optimization in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operational activities to ensure alignment with company objectives, policies, and budgets
- Enforce compliance with financial policies and procedures across all operations
- Lead initiatives to optimize accounts payable, invoice processing, and payment workflows for improved efficiency
- Manage cashflow for Singapore entities, maintaining liquidity while mitigating financial and interest risks
- Collaborate with FP&A and GL teams to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and banks to support audits and regulatory compliance
- Drive ad-hoc projects aimed at strengthening financial operations and controls
- Lead and manage finance teams and coordinate with shared service functions to achieve operational goals
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and support decision-making
- Apply strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and risk management to safeguard company assets
- Communicate effectively across departments to facilitate collaboration and resolve financial issues
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance operations
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and working with shared service functions
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Accounting
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficiency in SAP is an advantage

- Location: Near CBD with frequent travel to the shipyard in Tuas.
