Assistant Manager (Finance & Accounting)

Responsibilities

1. Prepare monthly journals and reconciliation schedules for financial statements.
2. Conduct monthly account closures and generate financial reports and analyses.
3. Compile quarterly consolidated financial statements and budgets, adhering to deadlines.
4. Submit GST and WHT reports and liaise with tax consultants regarding corporate income tax.
5. Manage tax compliance tasks, including Pillar 2, transfer pricing documentation, and CFC tax regime compliance.
6. Collaborate with external and internal auditors for audit processes and prepare audited statutory financial statements.
7. Address operating system issues and contribute to internal controls and process improvements.
8. Support Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable tasks when necessary.
9. Undertake ad-hoc duties as required.
10. Report directly to the Finance/Accounting Supervisor.

Requirements

1. A recognized degree in Accountancy Studies.
2. Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting.
3. Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, or ACCA are advantageous.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
5. Experience in month-end and year-end closing processes with an ability to meet tight deadlines.
6. Prior experience with the audit process is preferred.
7. Previous experience in managing a full set of accounts is a plus.
8. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
9. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
10. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
11. Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
12. Familiarity with SAP B1 is a valuable asset.
