Assistant Manager, Finance (AISG)

This role is deployed to AISG and is a 2-year full time contract.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Manage non-grant related finance operations for AISG including payments, invoicing, and fixed assets

• Work with the AISG team to support financial planning and monitoring of educational collaborations, research collaborations and gifts

• Ensure accurate and timely payments

• Review and follow-up on outstanding fund receipts

• Handle enquiries from collaborators or trainees related to financial issues

• Support management in various financial and management reporting and audit issues

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in finance operations, preferably in a university or research environment

• Basic understanding of research grant administration and compliance requirements prior experience in grant claims or research finance is an advantage

• Able to liaise confidently with researchers, Schools/Centres, and collaborators on financial matters

• Detailoriented, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines and high operational volumes

• Teamoriented, responsive, and able to escalate issues appropriately to senior finance staff
