Responsibilities
- Project manage a permanent exhibition, special exhibitions and travelling exhibitions on the history, culture and heritage of the Chinese community in Singapore.
- Plan and monitor timelines and milestones of the abovementioned exhibitions to meet deadlines
- Plan and allocate project budget and monitor expenditure
- Handle administrative tasks including calling of tender, compiling artefact lists, procuring goods and services, logistical arrangements, securing travelling exhibition venues, and production of exhibition catalogue etc.
- Work closely with the SCCC Operations Team as well as other exhibition professionals including designers, conservators and technicians to set up and project manage the abovementioned exhibitions
- Oversee maintenance and technical support of the abovementioned exhibitions
- Organise exhibition-related programmes, and public talks and academic conferences and
- Perform any other duties as assigned by CEO/SCCC.
Requirements
- At least two to three years of relevant project management experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- An Honours or General Degree in the fields of arts, humanities or social sciences.
- Bilingual with strong proficiency in Mandarin preferred to liaise with the Mandarin-speaking public.
- Strong passion and interest in culture and heritage.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and also be a good team player.
- Familiarity with conservation standards, object handling, and exhibition design will be an advantage.
- Singaporean/ Singapore PR only.
