Job Description

Job Scope:

Seeking an experienced Event Operations Manager to support both onsite and virtual aspects of high-profile events, including conferences and industry programs. This role requires strong operational skills, stakeholder coordination, and experience in hybrid event management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Spatial Experience Lead and Programming Lead in planning and coordinating event operations, including side activities at external venues (70% onsite focus)
  • Establish and implement efficient workflow processes to ensure smooth preparation leading up to events
  • Plan, coordinate, and work closely with appointed event organisers and venue partners for all event logistics
  • Focus on ground operations, ensuring seamless execution of all event elements
  • Manage the virtual experience, including platform selection, setup, maintenance, and content updates (30% virtual focus)
  • Collaborate with internal Programme & Show Ops Experience teams to maintain accurate virtual track information
  • Work with systems teams to ensure up-to-date UX interface and reporting on virtual platforms
  • Liaise with external vendors, event management companies, and internal government stakeholders
  • Participate in project management activities and work-in-progress meetings
  • Manage event-related administrative duties and documentation
  • Provide operational support for other division-wide programs and activities

Requirements:

  • Degree holder
  • Preferably 4+ years of experience in event management operations for APAC industry or ministerial events, with up to 1000+ attendees
  • Resourceful, meticulous, and able to multi-task
  • Excellent project management skills to handle multiple workstreams, timelines, and logistics simultaneously
  • Strong ground operations management skills for onsite challenges
  • Familiarity with online engagement, streaming technologies, and digital engagement tools
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Independent, proactive, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Familiarity with public sector processes and stakeholder management is a bonus

Contract Period: 8 months (start work ASAP)

Working Arrangement: Office hours

Location: Pasir Panjang

Salary: Up to $4,750
