Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development:
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Assign tasks, manage workloads, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, safety, and high performance.
  • Process & Project Management:
  • Lead and implement Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Manufacturing projects (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, TPM) to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs.
  • Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Oversee the introduction of new products and processes into production (NPI).
  • Technical Excellence & Support:
  • Provide expert technical support to the production floor, troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, or automation issues to minimize downtime.
  • Drive the maintenance and reliability strategy for production equipment.
  • Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and engineering changes.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards (e.g., ISO), safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for quality defects and process failures.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in a precision manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.

    Technical Skills:
  • Proven track record in leading Lean Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and equipment maintenance (TPM).
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems.
  • Excellent understanding of QA/QC principles and root cause analysis methodologies.

Soft Skills:

  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
