Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of engineers and technicians.
- Assign tasks, manage workloads, and conduct performance reviews.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, safety, and high performance.
- Process & Project Management:
- Lead and implement Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Manufacturing projects (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, TPM) to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs.
- Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee the introduction of new products and processes into production (NPI).
- Technical Excellence & Support:
- Provide expert technical support to the production floor, troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, or automation issues to minimize downtime.
- Drive the maintenance and reliability strategy for production equipment.
- Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and engineering changes.
- Quality & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards (e.g., ISO), safety regulations, and company policies.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for quality defects and process failures.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in a precision manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
Technical Skills: - Proven track record in leading Lean Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement projects.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and equipment maintenance (TPM).
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems.
- Excellent understanding of QA/QC principles and root cause analysis methodologies.
Soft Skills:
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
