Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to support the development, management, and delivery of educational enrichment programmes within government schools. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in curriculum development, programme operations, and team coordination within the education enrichment industry, particularly working with MOE schools through GeBIZ.
This role requires a hands-on individual who is comfortable managing both strategic and operational responsibilities, including curriculum design, trainer management, programme execution, and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
Programme & Curriculum Development
- Support the design, development, and refinement of enrichment curriculum for primary and secondary school students.
- Ensure programmes align with sound pedagogical and andragogical principles, incorporating engaging and effective learning methodologies.
- Contribute to the development of programme materials, lesson plans, and educational resources.
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends in STEM, coding education, and applied learning programmes.
Procurement & Tender Management
- Assist in the preparation, submission, and management of proposals through GeBIZ.
- Support the development of Specifications, Vendor Proposals (SVPs), and programme documentation required for school tenders.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and competitive submissions.
Operations & Programme Delivery
- Oversee the operational execution of programmes conducted in MOE schools, ensuring smooth delivery on the ground.
- Coordinate logistics, schedules, and trainer deployment for school programmes.
- Ensure programme quality and adherence to client expectations.
Team Leadership & Trainer Management
- Assist in leading and coordinating a team of trainers and operational staff.
- Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and deployment of freelance trainers.
- Provide guidance and support to trainers to maintain teaching quality and programme standards.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with school partners, trainers, and internal teams.
- Address operational challenges on-site and provide timely solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Education Enrichment Industry, particularly working with MOE schools via GeBIZ.
- Proven experience leading and managing teams.
- Demonstrated experience in GeBIZ submissions, SVP preparation, and curriculum development.
- Strong operational management experience, with the ability to handle programme delivery on the ground.
- Experience recruiting and managing freelance trainers.
- Familiarity with curriculum pedagogy and andragogy, especially for primary and secondary school learners.
- Fundamental understanding of block-based coding and technology-enabled learning.
- Hands-on teaching experience in government schools (as a teacher or freelance instructor).
- Experience working in private education centres will be an added advantage.
