What you'll do:

As an Assistant Manager in Corporate Sustainability (Social Impact), you will be at the heart of driving meaningful change within the organisation's sustainability agenda.

  • Develop and manage comprehensive social impact programmes that align with the organisation's sustainability focus and commitments, including overseeing volunteering activities and fundraising initiatives.
  • Coordinate the delivery of local social impact projects as well as group-wide foundation programmes, ensuring all objectives are met within agreed timelines.
  • Initiate and nurture strategic collaborations with government agencies, non-profit organisations, civil society groups, and other community stakeholders to maximise programme reach and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with internal committees to drive employee volunteer engagement and recognition efforts, fostering a culture of active participation in sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various business units to provide guidance on social impact campaigns and support their successful execution from planning through evaluation.
  • Lead both internal and external communications related to social impact topics, raising awareness of ongoing programmes and events among employees and the wider community.
  • Offer expert advice on best practices for social impact initiatives, supporting colleagues across departments in integrating sustainability into their daily operations.
  • Monitor progress against key performance indicators such as volunteer hours per employee and overall programme outcomes, preparing regular reports for senior management review.
  • Manage manual processes efficiently while prioritising tasks effectively amidst frequent reporting requirements.
  • Support agile initiatives related to social impact by adapting quickly to changing priorities and contributing ideas for continuous improvement.

What you bring:

To excel as an Assistant Manager in Corporate Sustainability (Social Impact), you will bring proven experience from previous roles focused on delivering community-driven projects or sustainability initiatives.

  • A degree or higher qualification coupled with at least five years relevant experience in sustainability or social impact roles within corporate or non-profit settings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current trends in sustainability issues as well as a deep interest in driving positive change for society and the environment.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects or programmes involving multiple stakeholders from inception through completion.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills enabling you to build trust-based relationships with both internal colleagues and external partners such as NGOs or government agencies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities allowing you to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences across various channels.
  • Experience initiating partnerships or collaborations that have delivered measurable results for community-focused initiatives.
  • Ability to coordinate large-scale volunteering or fundraising events while maintaining meticulous attention to detail throughout planning and execution phases.
  • Comfortable working with manual processes while demonstrating outstanding time management skills under tight deadlines or frequent reporting cycles.
  • A collaborative approach that values teamwork, empathy, inclusivity, and shared success over individual achievement alone.
  • Resourcefulness combined with adaptability when responding to evolving priorities or challenges within fast-moving environments.
