RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Manager Business Development to drive exhibition sales and cultivate strong relationships with clients and partners. The role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, securing exhibitors and partners, managing key accounts, and contributing to the overall commercial success of our exhibitions.
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and develop new leads and opportunities to drive revenue growth
- Prospect, generate leads, and convert them into confirmed exhibitors
- Conduct impactful sales calls and presentations to senior stakeholders, including corporations and associations.
- Attend local and international industry events to generate leads, build strategic partnerships, and enhance market visibility.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets
Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationship with exhibitors and key industry stakeholders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering excellent service from onboarding through to event delivery
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Oversee the execution of all pre- and post-sales processes, including generating proposals, contracts, and invoices in alignment with the company's standard operating procedures.
Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct thorough market research and data mining to source new leads, analyze competitor activities, and stay updated on industry trends.
- Leverage industry insights to develop effective business strategies and identify untapped opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in sales or business development (preferably within the Meetings & Events industry or B2B sales)
- Proven track record of generating new business revenue and achieving sales targets
- Strong relationship management skills with a focus on delivering outstanding client outcomes
- Self-starter with a proactive, results-driven mindset and strong analytical capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
