Responsible for smooth operation of the shipping and warehousing activities.
Design and review SOP for all shipping and warehousing activities.
Liaise with Sales and Production personnel on timely delivery of goods and any return of goods by customers or to suppliers due to quality issues.
Ensure quality checks are carried out on incoming products.
Liaise with shipping agents and negotiate competitive deals for all shipments.
Plan warehouse layout, local delivery schedule and manpower allocation.
Keep track of quality, quantity and stock levels in the warehouses.
Facilitate and co-ordinate the annual physical inventory count.
Ensure compliance of workplace safety/health regulations and ISO standards.
Manage material handling equipment & company lorries allocation and arrange for their regular maintenance and seek approval for their replacement.
Seek management approval and liaise with HR for any manpower requirements.
Supervise and motivate the shipping and warehouse personnel.
Perform ad hoc projects/duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Candidate must be willing to work in Tuas.
Minimum Diploma in Business/Warehouse/Supply Chain Management or equivalent level qualifications with at least 3 years of experience in logistics operation.
Able to lead a team of warehouse and shipping staff at different level and in a diversified cultural environment.
Able to communicate in English and Mandarin (to liaise with external vendors and colleagues).
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
Experience in SAP is an added advantage.
