Assistant Laboratory Technologist (West, Diploma in Chemistry/Material Science)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct sampling, testing, and release of raw materials, in-process, and finished products
• Verify Certificates of Analysis and ensure specification compliance
• Handle, label, and store laboratory samples safely
• Maintain lab equipment, calibration, and consumables inventory
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
• Report quality and safety non-conformances
• Ensure compliance with QEHSMS, 5S, and safety standards
• Support internal and external audits

Key Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• Experience in QA/laboratory testing within chemical or coatings industry
• Hands-on experience in paint and raw material testing
• Knowledge of ASTM/ISO/BS standards
• Familiar with lab equipment calibration and maintenance
• Strong analytical, documentation, and MS Office skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
