Support the HSE Manager in managing workplace safety, health, security and environmental compliance for the plant
Serve as a member of the HSE Committee and coordinate/schedule site inspections
Conduct daily Toolbox meeting for Contractor's Workers to brief about the safe work practices and housekeeping.
Conduct regular workplace inspections to ensure safety procedures are properly implemented and adhered to and rectify/correct any unsafe condition and unsafe practice immediately.
Monitor, review and follow up on corrective and preventive actions arising from safety inspections and audits
Assist/ Prepare and maintain HSE data, reports and dashboards for monthly, quarterly and yearly submissions
Conduct Safety Induction Training and other WSH-related in-house training for employees and contractors
Review and implement Risk Assessments and Safe Work Procedures when required
Assist investigations of incidents and near-misses ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed.
Maintain and test emergency response plans ensure site readiness.
Maintain records of safety assessments, training, and incident reports.
Participate in Safety management systems audits, ensure proper documentation in accordance with the requirements.
Promote a strong safety culture and support continual workplace improvement initiatives
Requirement:
Competent in risk management including hazard identification through regular inspections
Proficient in MS Office software and SAP EHS Management system
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Management Systems and local WSH and Fire Safety regulations
Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, internal and external audits, and incident investigations.
Ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver WSH training and safety promotion programme to cultivate a positive safety culture.
Good leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills to influence management, supervisors, and workers on WSH matters.
Competent in safety reporting, data analysis, and preparation of statutory reports, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Self-motivated, independent and outcome-driven individual
Knowledge on manufacturing processes will be an advantage
Minimum a Diploma in an engineering or equivalent field.
Minimum 3 years SHE experience in oil & gas, chemical, or similar regulated industry
Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) Level C would be advantage
