We are looking to hire an experienced and dedicated Assistant HR Manager to join the dynamic team at Boon Poh Refuse Disposal Pte. Ltd. As an Assistant HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR operations and contributing to the overall success of our company. What you'll be doing
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with statutory and government regulations
- Overseeing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, learning and development, off-boarding and employee relations
- Ensure proper documentation, filing, and maintenance of employee personal files (P-files), staff declarations, and HR records in accordance with regulatory and audit requirements
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including screening CVs, conducting initial interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers to ensure a smooth selection process
- Responsible for employment administration and reporting matters (including leave records, government claims: i.e. NS claims, paternity leave claims, IR21)
- Manage renewal and administration of medical insurance and work injury compensation
- Hands on with HR issues such as employee relations, grievances, complaints and provide counselling / guidance
- Manage company dormitories, ensuring safe, compliant, and well-maintained living conditions
- Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and performance
- Main point of contact for all employee relations matters
What we're looking for
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent in related discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in the waste management or services industry
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels
- Proficient in using HR information systems and data analysis tools
- Proactive, detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of payroll administration is beneficial but not mandatory
