Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of Indian dishes - both traditional and contemporary. Support the Head Chef in daily operations, mise en place, and menu execution.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, food hygiene, and safety standards at all times.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
  • Assist in receiving and storing kitchen inventory and ingredients.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed.
  • Contribute ideas to new menu items and kitchen efficiency.
  • Step up to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

Key Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in an Indian kitchen exposure to tandoor or fusion concepts is a bonus.
  • Passion for Indian cuisine and a willingness to learn progressive styles.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, NEA guidelines).
  • A good team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
