Job Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to take ownership of the company's financial and HR functions. You will manage cash flow, working capital, accounts payable/receivable, financial operations, and reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to streamline processes to support business growth. You will report directly to the Finance Manager and Director and will be responsible for managing the company's full finance and accounting functions.
Job Description
Finance & Accounting
- Handle the full accounting cycle from source documents to financial statements, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets.
- Prepare audit schedules and support both internal and external audit processes, including audited financial statements.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial and management reports for management review and conduct financial analysis to guide strategic decisions.
- Perform monthly and year-end closing, including preparation of management accounts, schedules, intercompany reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Oversee invoice and payment processing to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
- Coordinate annual stock-take, audits, and liaise with external auditors, vendors, and banks.
- Prepare and submit statutory filings, including GST returns, Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI), corporate income tax, and employee income tax computations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and liaise independently with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, vendors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and smooth operations.
- Maintain proper accounting records and documentation in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS/FRS).
- Track and manage cash flow, coordinate payments and collections, and handle banking matters to support seamless day-to-day operations.
- Ensure proper use of accounting software and financial systems, lead system upgrades or process improvements.
Human Resource
- Oversee HR functions including payroll, reimbursements, recruitment, and employee record management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and filings (CPF, IRAS, MOM), and manage work pass applications and renewals.
- Advise management on HR policies, workforce planning, and employee development.
Your background:
- Degree in Business / Accounting / Finance / ACCA / professional certifications.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant hands-on accounting experience.
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experienced in financial consolidation and audit processes.
- Good working knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS/FRS), GST, and corporate taxation.
- Experience liaising directly with auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders.
- Meticulous, analytical, and able to work independently.
