Job Description

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Finance Manager to join a globally recognised financial institution in Singapore. As part of a well-established finance division, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, regulatory reporting, and compliance.

What youll do:

As an Assistant Finance Manager based in Singapore, you will be entrusted with a broad range of responsibilities that underpin the smooth operation of the finance function.

  • Process vendor invoices and staff claims efficiently while ensuring all payments are accurate and timely.
  • Prepare detailed accounting journal entries and post them to the general ledger with precision and consistency.
  • Compile monthly schedules including prepayments, provisions, accruals, mark-to-market adjustments, and fixed deposit interest calculations.
  • Generate monthly gym files as well as ad-hoc and annual benefits-in-kind files for submission to Human Resources.
  • Prepare and review periodic regulatory returns for the Singapore office in accordance with MAS requirements such as Notice 610, Notice 649, quarterly income statements, and annual surveys.
  • Maintain daily monitoring controls for capital funds, minimum liquid assets, cash balances, and asset maintenance to ensure full compliance with local regulations.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet substantiation using Cadency and prepare adjustment templates for internal consolidation processes.
  • Produce comprehensive cost reports for the Asia business unit and conduct variance analysis between actuals and budgeted figures for management review.
  • Assist in preparing monthly tax computation files and year-end returns while posting corresponding tax provision entries accurately.

What you bring:

To excel as an Assistant Finance Manager in this esteemed organisation, you will bring a solid foundation in finance or accounting supported by relevant qualifications.

  • Minimally 3 years of experiences in financial services with expertise in regulatory reporting under MAS frameworks
  • Technical proficiency is crucial as you will manage large database
  • Experience in SAP Concur is an advantage
