Discovering the role
The role serves as a key support to the SEA Regional Finance Manager, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting, tax compliance, and balance sheet management across Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam. The position plays a critical role in strengthening financial controls, supporting regional finance operations, and supervising core accounting functions while driving process improvements across the SEA finance team.
Main Responsibilities
- Review the accuracy and reasonableness of General Ledger balances.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure completion.
- Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of all intercompany AP/AR transactions.
- Compute the revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers.
- Update and submit the tax reconciliation quarterly
- Compute annual inventory impairment as part of the year-end closing process
- Ensure accounting records are maintained in compliance with local statutory and corporate requirements
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset module for SEA
- Manage all tax-related matters, including GST/VAT, Withholding Tax, and Corporate Income Tax filings.
- Ensure all statutory filings are completed accurately and within deadlines.
- Liaise with tax consultants and regulatory authorities where required.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely submission of audit schedules and documentation.
- Provide supporting documentation and explanations during statutory and internal audits.
- Support in the preparation of financial forecasts and assist in the annual budgeting process.
- Provide Job Profitability Analysis and Variance Analysis
- Liaise with banks, corporate secretaries, and external service providers when required.
- Support regional finance coordination across Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam.
- Supervise and guide the AR Accountant across the assigned entities.
- Support the SEA Regional Finance Manager in strengthening finance operations and team effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, controls, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA license required
- Knowledge of local tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance for Singapore, Korea, and Vietnam
- Proven experience in tax compliance, financial reporting, and audit coordination.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools.
