Assistant Finance Manager (Commodity Trading / Maritime)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of accounts, including journal entries, fixed asset schedules, profit and loss, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations.
- Lead the preparation of monthly MIS reports, cash flow forecasts, estimates, and working capital planning.
- Ensure timely monthly closing and preparation of interim and annual financial statements.
- Oversee MIS preparation for monthly shipping operation reviews and quarterly board presentations.
- Handle quarterly GST submissions and liaise with banks on governance and loan matters.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and other stakeholders on compliance matters.
- Support monthly closing and financial reporting for joint venture (JV) companies in collaboration with external service providers.
- Ensure accurate reporting to the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) of Singapore for annual expenditure requirements.
- Liaise with investment companies and subsidiary counterparts for financial consolidation and updates.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and statutory compliance.
- Proficient in accounting systems and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
