Assistant Engineer

Assistant Engineer - Welding & Renovation Works

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Engineer/Project Manager in coordinating welding, fabrication and renovation works at project sites.
• Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Coordinate with welders, subcontractors, suppliers and site workers.
• Check welding and fabrication works for quality and ensure proper work procedures are followed.
• Assist in site measurements, material planning and quantity checking.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding details and renovation plans.
• Conduct regular site inspections and report work progress to the Engineer/Project Manager.
• Assist in preparing progress reports, material requests and site documentation.
• Coordinate deliveries, manpower and equipment required for site works.
• Ensure workers follow workplace safety requirements and site regulations.
• Attend to site issues and assist in resolving technical or operational problems.
• Support other renovation, maintenance and engineering-related works as required.
• Class 3 driving licence may be required for travelling between project sites, material collection and site-related duties.

Preferred Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Civil, Mechanical or related Engineering.
• Experience in welding, metal fabrication and renovation works preferred.
• Singapore construction/renovation site experience is an advantage.
• Able to read technical drawings.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Singapore Class 3 driving licence.
