The Assistant Engineer, Power Maintenance works in a team to operate, maintain, and repair power system equipment in compliance with departmental quality objectives, procedures, and safety standards to ensure safe and reliable train services for commuters.
Lead and supervise a team in preventive and corrective maintenance of power system equipment
Plan maintenance schedules and staff rosters with the Engineering Maintenance Manager
Provide technical guidance and ensure all records, manuals, and drawings are updated
Support engineering analysis, safety investigations, and testing activities
Oversee repair, upgrading, and modification works prepare completion reports
Attend Permit-to-Work (PTW) / Permit-to-Access (PTA) requirements
Perform rotating shift duties as required
Carry out other related duties as assigned
Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution
2-3 years of relevant experience in electrical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Experience in leading or guiding a technical team is an advantage
Able to perform manual tasks able to climb stairs and ladders and stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours) for inspection or fault assessment
Able to lift tools and equipment up to 8kg
Basic Salary: $2,400 - $3,600, Monthly Fixed Allowance: $250
