Assistant Engineer (Power Maintenance)

Job Purpose

The Assistant Engineer, Power Maintenance works in a team to operate, maintain, and repair power system equipment in compliance with departmental quality objectives, procedures, and safety standards to ensure safe and reliable train services for commuters.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team in preventive and corrective maintenance of power system equipment

• Plan maintenance schedules and staff rosters with the Engineering Maintenance Manager

• Provide technical guidance and ensure all records, manuals, and drawings are updated

• Support engineering analysis, safety investigations, and testing activities

• Oversee repair, upgrading, and modification works prepare completion reports

• Attend Permit-to-Work (PTW) / Permit-to-Access (PTA) requirements

• Perform rotating shift duties as required

• Carry out other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in electrical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

• Experience in leading or guiding a technical team is an advantage

• Able to perform manual tasks able to climb stairs and ladders and stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours) for inspection or fault assessment

• Able to lift tools and equipment up to 8kg

Compensation Package

1. Basic Salary: $2,400 - $3,600, Monthly Fixed Allowance: $250

2. Annual Wage Supplement (AWS), Performance Bonus & Merit Increment

3. Annual Leave: 14 days + Family Care Leave: 2 days
